We want to tell you about some ways in which we may be able to support your church and your congregation:

In each parish the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) is the main business meeting of the year where members of the congregation meet to receive reports on church activities and to elect members of the Parochial Church Council and Deanery Synod. It is, traditionally, preceded by an annual Meeting of Parishioners (or Vestry Meeting) where churchwardens are elected by the community.
This year's meetings will be held as follows:
- St Michael's, Teignmouth - Sunday 16 March 2025 in St Michael's church (after 9.30am service).
- St James', Teignmouth - Sunday 6 April 2025 (after 11.00am service).
- Shaldon Parish - Saturday 12 April 2025 in St Peter's Church at 11.45am
- St John's, Bishopsteignton - Sunday 27th April 2025 after service
- St Nectan's, Ashcombe- Tuesday 13th May 2025 at 10.00am in St Nectan's
- Ideford with Luton Parish - Thursday 22nd May 2025 at 7.30pm in St Mary's

For various reasons, from August, the Open the Book Team will no longer be affiliated to Open the Book organised by The Bible Society, and will therefore now be known as Open the Bible. We will continue to go into schools to take assemblies but being independent of Open The Book will allow us to be more creative with our assembly format.

Anna Chaplains and Anna Friends, named after the widow Anna, who appears with Simeon in Luke’s Gospel, are people who offer a few hours every month to visit older people wherever they live as part of a supportive network across the community.

St Michael’s Church Teignmouth (the Church by the sea) are starting a brand new group for those expecting a baby, or looking after a baby, or with pre-school child or children.

As violence in the Holy Land escalates with Israel's military operations, and settler violence, against Palestinians in Gaza, the Occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, and Hamas' and Hezbollah's retaliatory attacks on Israel, we pray:
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Israel, Palestine and Lebanon today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
