Ashcombe, St Nectan

The historic St Nectan’s Church in Ashcombe is a Grade I listed building, maintained by the Ashcombe PCC and a dedicated team of local volunteers. Its continued care depends upon fundraising efforts and charitable donations, and every contribution — whether financial or practical — is deeply valued by both St Nectan’s and the wider community.

St Nectan’s Church remains the social and spiritual heart of the village. Although Ashcombe is home to fewer than 100 residents, many people from the village and surrounding areas can trace generations of their family history through the church’s records and consider it to be their church. Christenings, weddings, and funerals continue to play an important role in village life, and the church stands as one of the enduring foundations that binds the community together.

To ensure St Nectan’s can continue serving future generations, regular donations are essential. Please consider setting up a standing order, whether large or small, to help preserve this cherished church and keep it available for all who may need it.
