I want to express my thanks for the tremendous effort you and your churches have made in contributing to the Common Fund during 2025.
The total amount received across the Archdeaconry was just over £3.6 million. While this represents a shortfall of around 6.5% against the asking amount, it is nonetheless a remarkable achievement in a year when money has been tight and budgets under real strain. Thank you.
Please would you pass on my sincere thanks to your PCCs and congregations for their enormous generosity. Every single gift, large or small, makes a difference. And every penny of the Common Fund goes directly into supporting parish ministry on the ground: sustaining clergy, resourcing mission, and enabling the incredible ministry that each of you is involved in across our Archdeaconry.
Thank you again for all you offer, your leadership, your faithfulness, and your partnership in the gospel. It is a privilege to serve alongside you.
