Books & Films

Luke Wilson, who attends St James Church, Teignmouth, has written 40 Days with the Fathers – A Daily Reading Plan. This offers a daily reading plan extracts and commentary on ten different early Church texts from a selection of some of the most influential Early Church Fathers: people who came before us, those great men of faith, many of whom suffered persecution and martyrdom to preserve the Church and Christ's mission, bridge the gap between the Bible and the present day. They fill the void we sometimes wonder about when we get to the end of reading Acts or the Epistles and think, “what happened next?” or “what happened to the Ephesian church after Paul left?” Go to Luke’s website at https://fortydays.co.uk/ for details of this and his other book on Companion Texts.

One of our Team Readers, Richard Frost, has made some short films for Lent, Holy Week & Easter on the theme ‘Out of the Wilderness’. These can be seen via www.workrestpray.com/lent and you can find details of Richard’s books on the same website.

The above information will be updated as events become finalized so please do revisit the website to check.
